A triad is a tribunal convened by the heads of house of the Sanctuary Network per Article 9 of the Sanctuary charter. A triad is represented by a trusted group of three telepaths who are sent to question and interrogate any senior staff member who is suspected of apparent wrongdoing.
History[]
The information gained from these telepathic investigative sessions is passed along to the council of heads of house for use in further deliberation and ultimate judgement of the senior staff member in question.
If the case involves a head of house (including the head of the global Sanctuary Network), an external head of house from another Sanctuary is brought in to temporarily take their stead in the interim until the original head of house is either reinstated or deposed. If the triad proceedings result in the latter outcome, a new head of house election is required to be held to replace the outgoing leader; to which the actively-sitting interim head of house may also be considered in the nominative pool alongside other prospective candidates in-line to head that Sanctuary (or to lead the global Network itself).
Season 2[]
![]() The triad arrives to question Magnus. The most recent calling of a triad was used to investigate Helen Magnus's role in Bigfoot's murder. The triad's leader Emma Correia, who had been leaking information from the Sanctuary Network for some time, was the target of an elaborate sting operation set in motion by Magnus. Because telepaths cannot have their thoughts reads by other telepaths, Magnus used false information about the location of Big Bertha to weed out the traitor. |
