A tabor is a humanoid abnormal species that resides in Hollow Earth. Tabors presumably followed the Praxians down into Hollow Earth thousands of years ago.

History[]

Tabors wear tight white clothing that matches their very white pale skin that looks almost translucent and chalk-like in appearance; their gray colored veins are visibly noticeable. They are sometimes seen wearing hooded cloaks. Tabors seems to communicate primarily through non-verbal communications, such as growling, hissing, and baring their very sharp teeth. Their race seems almost feral and violent, at least the ones that Adam Worth deals with behave so.

Episode 3x02 - "Firewall"
Adam Worth sent a male-female pair of tabors to attach a spiderbot to Will Zimmerman's head to probe for his memories about the holographic map.
Episode 3x08 - "For King and Country"
A pair of tabors saved Adam Worth in 1908; they pulled his dying body from the river and took him to the city of Praxis.
Episode 3x11 - "Pax Romana"
In more recent times with the rise of the rebellion against Praxis, tabors became part of the groups of abnormals who aligned themselves with Adam Worth in 2010; selecting him as their "champion" to create a new ruler for the creatures down below the surface. They became Worth's personal bodyguards and servants.

Worth used a small group of them to overpower and try to kill John Druitt, and used several of them as a personal shield to enter and travel around Praxis undetected in order to steal weapon components and the Kellorem device.
Episode 3x20 - "Into the Black"
During the events of the abnormal invasion, a few tabors are seen to have been part of the 'decoy' wave of refugees that surfaced after the destruction of Praxis.

Abilities[]

Tabor abilities include:

  • Invisibility
    • Can cloak themselves and others from visual, thermal, and motion sensors.
  • Can disperse their scent to avoid olfactory tracking.
  • Able to internally spontaneously combust into ash when stressed.[1]

Notes[]

  • It is unknown if tabors share any relation to luminescent beings due to both humanoid species having physiology traits pertaining to light. Compared to tabors which seem violent, the luminescent beings seen in Praxis as well as the ones who surface are noted to be peaceful and talkative amongst themselves whilst also appearing to glow (emit) / reflect light.
