Notes[]
- Their current status is: five of six are Deceased. Death Place: Old City Sanctuary. Year: early 2009.
- Season 5: The only surviving super abnormal is Ashley Magnus. However, it is unknown if Helen Magnus had reverted Ashley back to normal (leaving only her now activated naturally inherited abnormal genes to remain: teleportation and assumedly longevity as well) and/or if it was even possible for Magnus to undo any / all of the genetic manipulation that was done to her daughter by the Cabal Scientist.
- Super abnormals is the name Helen Magnus gave to this set of genetically manipulated humans who were given artificial abnormal powers like: teleportation, vampiric strength, telepathy, and excellent fighting abilities.
- The term "super abnormal" was also used by Henry Foss to describe hyperspecies abnormals.[1]
- Ashley Magnus was the only super abnormal out of the six that was able to (as well as repeatedly) temporarily break through the Cabal's control over their mind and bodies. This was indicated by three brief moments of cognitive self-awareness with her eye color simultaneously changing back to its natural blue.
- Due to the actors playing the super abnormals making reactionary movements to indicate they were being shot at by bullets and or rockets before the 'phasing' effects were added in post production, it means that any incoming projectile still transfers its momentum (kinetic energy) to the target on impact even though no damage occurs. This indicates that objects are either absorbed and or destroyed on contact. It is unknown what specifically happens to the object except that it does not seem to harmlessly travel through their bodies as if their bodies were air. If it did, the actors would not react at all and the projectile would continue on its way to hit whatever was behind them, something which does not happen.

A very subtle cognitively-aware power they have is their ability to 'phase' [2] which presumably stems from their teleportation ability. At the very beginning of the attack on the London Sanctuary, the super-soldiers were able to apparently briefly partially turn their physical matter into pure energy without them losing overall physical form nor traveling through dimensional space-time to allow several bullets to be turned into energy and either be absorbed or repelled as destroyed molecules off their bodies without causing any damage. Orange / red energy 'wisp' effects are briefly seen at the points of impact just before the super-soldiers launched themselves forward to execute their raid on the facility and to kill those who were tasked to defend it. It is seen again when Will Zimmerman shoots at the super-soldier next to the mainframe during the attack on the Old City Sanctuary moments before he is vaporized by teleporting with the EM shield now reactivated. This ability affects their clothing as well, preventing it from sustaining any damage. When the ability is not used, the clothing tears and burns like normal as seen in London when John Druitt stabbed Ashley Magnus in the rib cage with his sword and later on when the fire elemental was released. Presumably, Ashley used this ability to survive the blast from the RPG shot at her by Kate Freelander while down in the main lab; simply knocking her backwards, explaining why the fiery explosion didn't mortally damage and sear the entire front of her body.
