The secure housing unit, or SHU, is a reinforced location within a Sanctuary that is used to house very dangerous and seemingly uncontrollable abnormals.
History[]
In the Old City Sanctuary, the SHU is located on the secure level / one of the lower levels. John Druitt was held in the secure housing unit on multiple occasions. The SHU in the Old City Sanctuary appeared to span between two underground floors, where some cells had observation windows on the above floor with the cell's access door on the floor directly underneath. The cells seem to be tailor made for each abnormal occupant.
