Notes[]
Trivia / Continuity: The physical appearance of this species was changed between the web series and the TV series. Originally very tall stature, muscular build, with angled spiky features, and desert coloration drawing inspiration from a bearded dragon. This was changed to a shorter stature, less muscular yet still stocky build, with softer rounded features, and tropical marine coloration drawing inspiration from iguanas.
Trivia: Although this species of abnormal was first seen in the first half of the double-episode tv series pilot Episode 1x01 - "Sanctuary for All, Part I", it was not specifically named until Episode 4x02 - "Uprising". After Will Zimmerman and Abby Corrigan finally gain access to the Quantico server farm cloud, viewers can see the documents the characters are looking though on the computer monitor. In these files is the name "Norcotocada" associated with an image of the species.
Name / Reference: "Norco" of norcotocada is named after Norco Studios in Burnaby, British Columbia where the show was filmed. "Tocada" is Latin for "touched".
