New City

New City is the newer, more modern, half of the huge metropolis that the world of Sanctuary inhabits. It is located to the south across the river from Old City.

History

Web Series

	Episode 0x03 - "Webisode 3": When Alexei is taken by John Druitt from his guest room in the Old City Sanctuary, Druitt leaves behind an Old City subway map with a meeting location marked at 98th Street. Will Zimmerman questions this, as there currently isn't a station in-service there. Helen Magnus informs him that there used to be an operational platform at 98th Street before New City was built.
	Episode 0x08 - "Webisode 8": Aubanel, Wood, Smith, Attorneys at Law is a law firm in New City that Ashley Magnus visits to kill the contraband listed Corporate Vampire. After being thrown around by the vampire, Ashley is distracted by an "SOS" message sent from the Old City Sanctuary. As the vampire's shadow is seen retreating, Ashley abandons her quest to rush back home.

Season 1

	Episode 1x12 - "Revelations, Part I": Henry Foss and Ashley Magnus travel to a Cabal weapons lab that is located across the river just outside of New City. They end up getting caught and captured soon after entering into a building.
	Episode 1x13 - "Revelations, Part II": Henry Foss and Ashley Magnus spend the majority of their time being detained and experimented on by the Cabal at the property they trespassed onto in the previous episode. The pair are eventually allowed by the Cabal to 'escape'.

Season 2

Episode 2x05 - "Pavor Nocturnus": By the year 2019 in the Guardian's timeline, New City has been completely destroyed and turned into an apocalyptic wasteland.

Episode 2x10 - "Sleepers": After Chad Spencer dies in a single-car accident on a dark wooded road, activating his newly acquired vampire genetics thanks to Nikola Tesla experimenting on him unknowingly, he quickly figures out that death triggers the metamorphosis and goes about killing his close friends who had also received the same 'drug detox' treatment that he did. He tracks down and kills his roommate Darrin Wilson in a parking garage in New City (the security camera footage later viewed by Will and Magnus) and then kills Laura S. in an alley behind some stores in New City. He kills his final two friends, Geoff T. and an unnamed woman, in Penthouse 2 of a high-rise apartment building located within New City. After abducting Tesla down in Mexico outside of his detox clinic, the trust-fund vampires (minus Laura who got captured by Helen Magnus and Will Zimmerman) return to New City and hangout in the penthouse. Magnus, Will, and Kate Freelander eventually figure out that this is the location where the group is holding Tesla hostage. Their rescue mission doesn't go very smoothly, but is ultimately successful, albeit with an unintended outcome resulting from Tesla using the de-vamper.

	Episode 3x19 - "Out of the Blue": to be added

Season 4

	Episode 4x12 - "Sanctuary for None, Part I": The Specified Counter-Insurgency Unit establishes a joint-task force office on an upper floor of a high-rise building a few blocks inward directly across the river from the Old City Sanctuary. From Greg Addison's office, he has a direct line-of-sight view of the property.
	Episode 4x13 - "Sanctuary for None, Part II": As tensions come to a head between the abnormal homeland, the Specified Counter-Insurgency Unit, the Sanctuary Network, and Caleb, Greg Addison along with many other personnel in the SCIU building watch through the windows the self-destruction of the Old City Sanctuary; its ruins burning brightly in the night.
