Michelle Moran is a professor who worked on a research mission organized by the Specified Counter-Insurgency Unit.

Biography

Season 4

Episode 4x11 - "The Depths": Offscreen, the Specified Counter-Insurgency Unit send a team to a cavernous area in the Bolivian Andes to capture a fabled Quetzalcoatl. Leading the team, is a professor named Michelle Moran. They arrive and capture the gigantic feathered serpent by stunning it unconscious with some sort of sonic weapon and drap a massive cargo net overtop of the creature as it slumbers. This operation is disrupted by the arrival of Helen Magnus and Will Zimmerman (from the Sanctuary Network); they learned of this operation from data Henry Foss was able to collect off of the tablet that was handed to him from Nikola Tesla during his time at Area 51 (events which occurred in previous Episode 4x05 - "Resistance"). As Magnus and Will barge in, Moran grabs a nearby sonic stunner weapon and blasts the intruders; Magnus and Will drop unconscious. When they wake, Moran talks with them. After Magnus warns Moran, Moran disagrees and tells her team to shoot the weak spot in the roof of the cavern to open up an aerial drop spot; resulting from the holes, the pure unfiltered sunlight hits the serpent, causing it to wake from a great amount of pain. Chaos ensues, with the team firing bullets at the disturbed angry creature and the tunnel begins to collapse. After Will gets struck by a stray bullet, Magnus runs back for him even though Moran tells her to leave him. Moran continues through the tunnel as Magnus gets batted away by the serpents tail. After things settle post-collapse, Magnus estimates that they have a 48-hour window before the Specified Counter-Insurgency Unit sends an extraction team in response to Moran failing to check in. Magnus wanted to be clear from the area before then, as she didn't want to be the ones who "answer" for the incident.

• Status: Though her death is not directly seen nor was her body found, the character of Michelle Moran is presumed by Helen Magnus to have died along with her team in the tunnel collapse.
