| Episode 4x12 - "Sanctuary for None, Part I": Jebal is first seen being chased through part of Old City by a mob of humans after he got lost and accidentally wandered away from the safety of the Fifth Ward. Will Zimmerman caught up with him and tried unsuccessfully to help fight off the mob. Both Jebal and Will were rescued by Caleb and his crew. Jebal indebted his life to Caleb, however Caleb pointed out that it's not applicable on the surface. Caleb then arranged for Will take Jebal back with him on his return trip to the Old City Sanctuary, insisting Jabal stay there temporality for his own safety while things calmed down outside. | |

- Trivia: The character's species is unnamed.
- Trivia: Jebal's species appears to have originated from humans who then quickly evolved over several thousands of years to physically adapt to the environment they were living in.[1]
- The gray coloring and cracked appearance of the species' skin mimics the surrounding rock tunnels of Hollow Earth; acting as camouflage to blend in.
- Jebal stating that he could hardly see on the surface (due to the sun's brightness) also shows that the species' eyes are adapted to the darkness of subterranean life.

- ↑ Speculation: In order for this to be true, it means that of the humans who retreated into Hollow Earth, a small sect of them potentially carried an abnormal genetic metamorphic ability; which increased the odds of their survival the more they changed to look like their surroundings.
