Heckler & Koch SL8-4

A Heckler & Koch SL8-4 is a civilianised version of the Heckler & Koch G36, it is a semi automatic rifle that is capable of being used as a marksman rifle aka sniper rifle, it is chambered in the 223. Remington cartridge or alternatively the 5.56x 45 mm NATO cartridge and has a 10, 20 or 30 round detachable magazine depending upon the variant of the rifle, unlike earlier types of HK rifle which used a roller lock bolt the SL8-4 uses a lug-type rotating bolt system similar to the one used on the AR-18.

Episode 0x03 - "Webisode 3": Ashley Magnus examines a Heckler & Koch SL8-4 during her meeting with the weapons dealer, Ernie Watts. Ashley Magnus looks down the sights of the H&K SL8-4. (Canadian version with standard short G36 rail.) When Ashley Magnus inserts a magazine, from the angle it can be seen that a short, flush fitting magazine is attached to the rifle. (Double stack magazines are standard on Canadian versions of the H&K SL8.) When Ashley Magnus hands it back to Ernie Watts and he props it on his thigh, a side view shows the distinctive thumb hole stock.
