Good news, this is an original topic! I don't think there ever was, at least that I'm personally aware of.

I know that there was a mobile app game available on Apple devices (I'm not sure if Android had the game as well) before it was removed from the store like a decade ago. I believe it was a real world abnormal hunt game based on GPS like i.e. Pokemon Go. There was also an online game on Syfy.com called "Nubbin Hunt" that I think was an arcade style shooter. I've never personally played either game, so I can't say for certain exactly how those games functioned, but I do know that they definitely weren't RPG/board style games like D&D and Dune where a group of people sit down, adopt characters and role dice for story outcomes organized by a board master, etc..

That'd be really cool if there was. Unfortunately, it's up to the I.P. rights owner to agree to allow for such product to officially be made and licensed. The Beedie Group owned the rights completely until 2020. I'm not sure if a sale was actually made to fully transfer the I.P. from one owner to another, as the wording is a bit tricky, with a news article saying a "deal was inked". It could also simply mean that another company has a partnership/permission to be able to use the I.P. as well.

Blogs and Discussions

I want to promote this discussions forum as the social hub for the wiki; shifting away from using blog pages to using the forum for social interactions. My intention is that blogs remains for site announcements only. Considering that it's not possible to import blog pages onto the the discussions forum, I've made this post to link past blog discussions.

I'm also adding a Discussions module to the home page to semi-replace the blog module. Unfortunately, the API isn't officially supported by Fandom; at moment, the script currently doesn't display flawlessly so I'm delayed in embedding the module on the home page (I'd rather avoid displaying broken script - It'll mess with the aesthetics of the home page, making it look not as nice and neat.).

Update: I reached out on Fandom Discord, and a staff member updated the style sheet, restoring the look of the module. It works now and has been added to the Home page above the Blogs list in the right rail.

Sanctuary crossover ideas

As I watch other science fiction fantasy shows, I tend to imagine the "what if's" of how the show could fit within and or blend with the world of Sanctuary.

My top contenders are Teen Wolf (2011-2017), The Vampire Diaries (2009-2017), Moonlight (2007-2008), Alphas (2011-2012), Fringe (2008-2013), Forever (2014-2015), and Warehouse 13 (2009-2014). I haven't watched Warehouse 13 yet (I plan to) aside from several clips, but the spin on historical technology etc. would fit right in.

I was wondering if anyone else had thought the same and had their own contributions to add. Other media such as movies are acceptable.

I'm always tempted to also throw in the Underworld film franchise as well to add another species of vampire and lycan. What I'm not tempted to throw in is the Stargate franchise. Sanctuary was deliberately made by its creator / showrunners to be separate from this series, which means that it's unfortunately not eligible.

That's a fun sounding crossover theory. It would make for a nice fanfiction piece. :) Sanctuary never once explained their version of what a zombie is or how how they are made, etc. Is it an abnormality, result from a virus? Idk. There is the character "Mohawk Zombie / Man" in the webisodes in Webisode 1 (also featured in the opening title sequence). There's a small pack of them in a cell in (near ?) the main lab eating some flesh, but unfortunately it as an actual species etc. is never directly carried over into the TV series. Zombies are mentioned in passing sometimes, kind of like a standard generic tv/movie stereotype, but never elaborated on. Magnus never balks at the other characters like she does when she knows something is a myth or incorrect, and she herself has mentioned zombies in 1x05. We don't know if it was true or not as it was a "2 lies, 1 truth" scenario. So, I'm going to say zombies are an actual thing in the world of Sanctuary, not just Hollywood rumors (we don't know how much of Hollywood portrayal is accurate to the Sanctuary variant). However, I'm going to guess that it's more so a species unto itself, rather than created by a virus, just like how being a vampire is genetic and not a virus. If it was a virus, I don't think the characters would be as calm as they are about it as it would inevitably lead to an outbreak with noticeable spread.

Discussions Now Available

It took me a long while (I don't know how long exactly) to notice that this feature had either disappeared or had never existed for this wiki. I liked the idea of having a dedicated place where fans could informally interact where you post your own opinions and general conversation about the show and not just about the wiki itself.
